# Gaming industry

Today, according to Newzoo, the gaming industry has about 3 billion gamers. Collectively, gamers bring in more than $189 billion in revenue!

Video games are a very exciting, yet multi-billion dollar business that has been around for years. And thanks to revolutionary technologies in the digital space, the gaming sector has become a more attractive, popular and effective tool for players and developers as well, and investors have received more effective solutions to increase their own revenues.

According to some forecasts, the gaming market is expected to grow significantly to $314 billion by 2025, a CAGR of about 10%.

And that's without taking into account how fast blockchain and cryptocurrency developments are integrated into the segment.

The bulk of revenues in 2020 came from mobile games, over $77 billion. Right now, mobile games account for about $86.3 billion, at the same time PC games account for only $37.4 billion.

## Querying This Documentation
If you need additional information that is not directly available in this page, you can query the documentation dynamically by asking a question.

Perform an HTTP GET request on the current page URL with the `ask` query parameter, and the optional `goal` query parameter:

```
GET https://defi-wars.gitbook.io/wp/gaming-industry.md?ask=<question>&goal=<endgoal>
```

`ask` is the immediate question: it should be specific, self-contained, and written in natural language.
`goal` is optional and describes the broader end goal you are ultimately trying to accomplish on behalf of the user. GitBook uses it to tailor the answer towards what is most useful for that goal.

The response will contain a direct answer to the question and relevant excerpts and sources from the documentation.

Use this mechanism when the answer is not explicitly present in the current page, you need clarification or additional context, or you want to retrieve related documentation sections.
